Environmental Sustainability Policy

At Scrubmission, we believe that what we put on our skin — and what we put into the world — matters. Our commitment to environmental sustainability is not a marketing exercise; it is a core principle that shapes every decision we make, from the ingredients we source to the energy that powers our operations.

This policy sets out our current commitments and our roadmap for the future. We hold ourselves accountable to these standards and will update this document as we reach new milestones.

Organic Ingredients

We are committed to using certified organic, natural ingredients in all of our products. We actively avoid synthetic chemicals, artificial preservatives, and harsh additives — not only because they are better for your skin, but because they are better for the environment. Organic farming practices reduce chemical runoff, protect biodiversity, and support healthier soil ecosystems. Every ingredient we select is chosen with both performance and planetary impact in mind.

Local & UK-Based Suppliers

Wherever possible, we source our ingredients and materials from local or UK-based suppliers. By keeping our supply chain close to home, we significantly reduce the carbon footprint associated with long-distance freight and international logistics. Supporting domestic suppliers also strengthens the UK economy and allows us to maintain tighter quality control and greater transparency throughout our production process.

Reuse & Recycle

We are committed to ensuring that all waste generated through our operations is either reused or recycled. We do not send manufacturing waste to landfill. Packaging materials, production offcuts, and any by-products of our soap-making process are assessed for reuse potential first, and directed to appropriate recycling streams where reuse is not possible. We continuously review our processes to identify new opportunities to close the loop on waste.

Net-Zero Waste Production

Our ambition is to reach net-zero waste production across our entire manufacturing operation by 2030. This means designing waste out of our processes from the start — not simply managing it at the end. We are actively working toward a manufacturing model in which no waste is generated throughout the soap-making process. This includes optimising ingredient usage, eliminating single-use materials in production, and partnering with suppliers who share our zero-waste values.

Green Energy & Solar Investment

We are committed to reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and transitioning to clean, renewable energy sources. As part of our long-term green energy strategy, we are planning to invest in solar panel infrastructure to power our operations. In the interim, we are actively reducing our overall energy consumption through efficient equipment, mindful operational practices, and a culture of energy awareness across our team.

A Living Document

Sustainability is a journey, not a destination. This policy is a living document that we will review and update regularly as we achieve our goals, set new ones, and respond to emerging best practices. We welcome feedback from our community and remain committed to transparency in how we measure and report our progress.
