After a couple of months of training Jiu Jitsu, I caught my first skin infection. I didn’t even know what it was, but it was definitely painful and itchy. I had to go through my first antibiotic treatment, then the next one, and then another. This went on and on until I’d had enough and started doing my own research.
I realized I wasn’t the only one. After hearing Joe Rogan talk about it in a podcast, I realized it’s a common problem — but there is a solution. You need a special soap with antifungal properties.
I’m an old-school man who likes: gardening (I’m a proud allotment owner), fighting in a controlled environment, and watching Dragon Ball. But I hate artificial ingredients and synthetic chemicals. After doing some research, I realized there wasn’t any soap on the market that met my expectations: a natural base with real antifungal strength.
That’s when I sat down with my missus and started our experimentation journey. It was a long and expensive process to find the perfect combination and volume of each ingredient. I became the test rat — I used my own soap on my body, face, and hair. After switching to my own soap, I didn’t get a single infection again. Finally, happy days — no more antibiotics, no more steroid creams, no more destroyed digestive system from pills that made me run to the toilet like a living jet washer.
It’s 2022, and I’ve been using my own soap ever since. I’ll be honest with you — I’m from the ghetto, and I don’t like sharing things. If you share something, by the next day someone will steal it. So I never told anyone about my soap until early this year. To show my respect to my Sensei, I gave him a bar — and he really liked it. Then I gave one to every training partner in the dojo, and they started encouraging me to share it with others and start a proper business.
I was happy just making it for myself, but if you’ve got something good, you shouldn’t keep it to yourself. You should share the love — like telling a friend about a new BJJ technique you’ve discovered.
I have a background in food and pharmaceutical machinery design. I’ve worked across various industries, delivering many different projects. My missus completed her BA in Chemical Engineering and her Master’s in Biochemical Engineering. She’s worked in quality management and several different labs. We put our heads together and created a procedure to automate production, track every variable throughout the manufacturing process, and ensure we deliver the same quality every time.
